The following charts shows us the numbers of homicides in Chicago from 1990–2019. The highest recorded number of homicides was back in 1992, with the lowest recorded in 2014 with 420 confirmed deaths. In 2016, the number of homicides deaths almost doubled from the previous year, but has been on a decline for the past three years. Hopefully these numbers continue to decrease.
